Ventana Lakes is an active adult community located in Peoria out in the west valley of the Greater Phoenix Real Estate area. This 55 + community has 30 acres of nine well-stocked lakes, several waterfalls, walking trails, and docks for fishing or paddleboat activities.
Location A great central location gives easy access to Loop 101 so residents can enjoy shopping at the Arrowhead Mall, Lake Pleasant Regional Park for boating and the Peoria Sports Complex for MLB spring training ball park action in March. Sky Harbor Airport is within 30 minutes drive and so is Downtown Phoenix. Westgate Entertainment District, home of the the NFL Arizona Cardinals, numerous restaurants & pubs and Tanger Outlet Mall.

Area Features There is a lot more to offer residents of Ventana Lakes than only fishing and golf. The clubhouse provides a large variety of indoor and outdoor amenities. The Ventana Lakes Association is very active. Peoria has many shopping outlets, dining opportunities, cultural attractions, and local sporting venues.

The clubhouse is called the Yacht Club and includes a fitness center and is complete with aerobics studio, sauna and steam rooms. After a workout with a variety of equipment, residents can enjoy a favorite book at the library, or socialize while playing a friendly game of billiards. Arts and crafts enthusiasts and card players have rooms available at the Yacht Club for their activities.

Residents enjoy friendly competition on the bocce ball and tennis courts, a game of horseshoes, or even get together for some volleyball on the court. Four pools are on hand for comfortable rest and relaxation periods. Two of them are heated for year-round enjoyment.

Surrounded by numerous golf courses, the closest one to Ventana Lakes is Willow Creek.

Lifestyle A full-time activities director, similar to a concierge’s duties, schedules monthly bus trips as well as concerts, breakfasts, dinners, dances, karaoke events, and much more. There are also a variety of established clubs already in progress that new residents can join. Some of these are: bingo, bowling, bridge, canasta, croquet, dance, hiking, investment, Italian American, karaoke, Mah Jong, pickleball, pinochle, poker, quilting, shuffleboard, table tennis, and water aerobics. Ventana Lakes has its own newsletter that is also part of the Association website. The area residents have a great sense of community.

Homes Ventana Lakes consists  of single-family homes and a small selection of patio homes. Homes were built between 1986 and ended in 2002, when all 1,701 homes were completed. They range in size between 1,200 and 2,500 square feet of living space and have two or three car garages. Some home sites have desirable waterfront locations. Quarterly HOA fees are very reasonable dependent on whether you reside in the main body or in the Patios or The Gardens.
