Province is situated in a city of 43000 people called Maricopa which is 20 minutes south of the last exit heading out of Phoenix towards Tucson on the southern fringe of the Greater Phoenix Real Estate area. It is a quiet town surrounded by low desert and open spaces.
Location It is located 25 minutes from Chandler Fashion Mall where you will find hundreds of stores and fine dining. It is 35-40 minutes to Sky Harbor Airport and 50 minutes from Westgate Entertainment District, home of the NHL Arizona Coyotes and the NFL Arizona Cardinals.It was voted the best active adult community in the U.S. in 2006 by the National Association of Home Builders. One look at the community and it is easy to understand why as over 30 percent of the land is dedicated as parks and open space, plus there are 50 acres of scenic lakes and waterways. Construction of Province began in 2004 by Engle homes who unfortunately couldn’t survive the recession and filed for bankruptcy in 2008. In October 2009, Meritage Homes acquired Province and announced their plans for the completion of the development.

Homes Home prices in Province are generally lower than in other active adult communities closer to Phoenix. Buyers in Province can choose from bungalow style single-family homes and attached villas. Floor plans range in size from 1,155 to over 2,800 square feet.Meritage Homes has a new selection of models and floor plans that are geared toward the preferences of active adult buyers. In addition to the new construction homes available through Meritage, there is also an assortment of resale homes.
